Sorry for a bit delay in posting this entry. Kinda busy with life after we return from the Pearl of Andaman.

Our flight to Phuket in the afternoon was canceled and AA put us on the late evening flight. Lucky us as we (or was it Me?) had organized the trip well. We arrived Phuket on Friday night, 8.40pm (Thai time). Andre (Chinese who migrated from Europe), the owner of Thai Oriental Tours was at the Airport to transport us to the hotel in Patong.

As it’s High Season, the hotel room are expensive than our honeymoon trip in May as it’s green season (April – October) .We’d checked in Seven Seas hotel in Patong. Hubby grabbed the room for the price of 1200baht/ night from sawasdee.com .We choose the hotel as it’s near to the Muslim Village (Pbhramee Road) and also not far from the happening Bangla Rd.

After checked in, we quickly went down for a walk in Patong. We stopped by for a good beef-soup near our hotel. Yummy..the soup was great! Then we went to Bangla Rd. Still alive even it’s 1pm (Thai Time). After a good walk, we went back to the hotel for a rest.

Next morning, we’d to wake up early as the tour van will pick us from the hotel to the Pier as early as 7.15 am. After breakfast (Bariani Mahsuri), we went for a Phi Phi Island Express Boat Tour. For 1000Baht/person, including return express cruise to Phi Phi, Lunch @ Phi Phi Don, unlimited drinks and snacks on board & snorkelling, we found that the package was really cheap. We’d a very great time that day!

When we returned to Phuket, the driver sent us to Thai Oriental Inn (Andre’s hotel) in Patong. He arranged for a bike rental for us, the cost was as low as 250Baht/day (auto bike).Then we went back to hotel to refresh our body, had dinner in Kamala, stopped @ Phuket Fantasea, stopped @ Jungceylon and then we proceed for a good Oil Massage. After 60minutes massage (couple-massage), we went to lepak2 @ an Irish Bar in Bangla Road till 2 am. Back to hotel, we went to sleep peacefully (tired lorrr). ..

We’re back from the honey&themoon trip. The trip was wonderful & well planned. We’d been to Phuket Fantasea, Phi-Phi Island & Simon Cabaret. Not to mention enjoying their delicacies, sight-seeing , facial & massages. The trip to Phi-Phi Island took us 2 hours ferry ride in a rough sea (now it’s monsoon season). We managed to control our sea sick by sleeping throughout the journey. Anyway it’s compensated with a very beautiful island full with “farangs”. We didn’t spend so much on shopping as the price is so ridiculous. We’re not in the mood of bargaining so we went to JungCeylon, Robinson & Central for some shopping. But we ended up with a facial session @ JungCeylon. We managed to bring back few Thomas&friends and bobthebulilder items for the 2 heros. As for ourselves, only 2 pieces of fisherman pants for Yin Yoga & hubby got a fisherman Bermudas & t-shirt. We’d made few new friends while we’re there. Most of them are from Patani, working in Phuket…Marvellous! That’s the word!

1st May – It was a hot public holiday that finally we decided to go to Sungai Congkak for a short trip. It’s Rayyan&Idlan first attempt to the river. Rayyan keep on asking how does river looks like. I’d rather tell him “mcm longkang besar abang, penuh batu…tp air dia bersih..kita semua boleh swim ” How will you describe a river to a little kid like him? …hehe

Now i’m busy planning for our trip to Phuket next week. We’ll be backpacking this time since we planned for hotel & island hopping. There are just too many hotel too choose…finally, we booked 3 hotels for 3 nights @ different part of Phuket ..and the issue resolved yesterday. I just can’t wait for the trip especially to spend a night at Koh Phi Phi or best known as “The Beach” island.

There are too many things to do, from islandsss hopping, elephant trekking, cabaret shows, phuket fantasea show, ATV trekking and last but not least..some shopping (some said it’s not that cheap bcos it’s tourism land but i still want to test my bargain skill there!!).. When planning for what to do in Phuket, 4 days won’t be enough. Others stay there for at least a week. I’ll update all of u on the trip once i’m back from the paradise ….Sawadeekap

After having our breakfast @ hotel, we headed to a water canal station near to Pratunam market. We jumped into the canal boat just to try the ride. It’s fun and exciting!!! We took off @ Bobae station (we did’nt even knew where we’re initially).

After some shopping @ Bobae, we went to Chatuchak Weekend Market. It’s the largest weekend market in Bangkok consists of 9000 – 12000 stalls selling everything (foods, clothes, gems, animals and etc.) This is actually our main agenda for this trip. Huh, if u wanna test your bargaining skills, this is actually the place as the rule of thumb is “Please Bargain” J.

As we’re sooo busy doing our shopping, we haven’t got a chance to snap any photo… We stopped for lunch @ the famous muslim stall near to the big clock and had their delicious beriani and fresh coconut drinks. After the shop break, we continued to shop. And at about 4.00 o’clock, we’re already exhausted (walking and carrying full hands of things that we’d bought). We decided to go back to hotel and come again on the next day …. hehehe… 1 day sure not enough one.

That night we had our dinner quite early at Mak Yah Muslim Thai Restaurant. This is also a famous Thai Muslim restaurant in BKK. We had Thai tomyam with Kung Pao Chicken and mango salad here. We took tuk2 just to cross the road in-front of the hotel to get to this restaurant as we need to save our limited energy for shopping later that day.

We went to MBK after dinner. There’re also a lot of clothes sold there. We bought few pieces before continued shopping @ Suan Lum. Then, we went back to hotel for whole body oil massage. After the massage, we walked along the road in front of the hotel & we’d the sago mango for supper. Delicious!

Our day started as early as 5.30 am on Friday as we’d to catch our flight at 7.50am from LCCT. We reached LCCT at 7.00am and quickly checked in. The flight took off at 8.00 am and landed safely in BKK at 9.40 am (Thailand time) @ 10.40 (MY time). We quickly hired a public taxi to Samran Place for 400Bht and checked into the hotel room.

Samran Place is a budget hotel (2**) but i can say that the room and bathroom was soooo clean. Muslim food restaurant & mosque are just across the road. Massage shop is just at the side of the hotel. 8 minutes walks to BTS (Ratchadek I guess so – next to Asia Hotel). I will definitely be back to Samran Place …..

****  Pratunam – Market & Mall ****

We started our shopping engine along Pratunam Market. We went straight to the pyjama shop (my 3^rd time here to buy pyjamas for my sons). We’re so excited… the same pyjama can be bought at Subang Parade @ The Curve Flea Market at the minimum price of RM30 /pc. We bought 1 dozen each …stock-up for our sons and nieces… but not much ultraman cartoon…as long as it’s the same material, we didn’t have to bother much…

Mmmmm…delicious!!! We’d Lebanese Spicy Beef Fried Rice with Basil Leaves at Maedah Restaurant. Tina, rasa still tak puas makan la… L First sign to repeat sometime soon??? Kekeke

We went back to hotel to send back all the goods we’d bought @ pratunam…pyjamas, bottles of spa salt, few shirts, and few floral pants (the one i wore in the previous entry).

We took the green taxi to Chinatown. I bought some souvenirs and accessories (including the lovely pearl bracelet).

After cruising along Chao Phraya River, we took taxi to Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Tina had her dinner there. As for me, I just ate my buns (Hi-Fi with Ikan Bilis from Malaysia J and my snickers bar). There’s no halal food @ Suan Lum. But I had the coconut shake there…

***** Thai Massage & Reflexology  ****

Back to hotel @ 11.00pm (Thai Time) and quickly had some shower.  It’s time pamper our tired body (leg especially) after a very tiring day (but we enjoyed it, that’s for sure!!) with 1 hr full body Thai Massage and 1 hr Thai Reflexology next to the hotel.

I’m back to KL after spending days (as bachelor) at Bangkok City. Yeah … I had fun & really enjoyed the trip. It’s really free & easy as we (me & tina) just did what we want to (s.a. massage, eating & cruising) and we shopped like we’d no tomorrow. Gawd…. Bangkok is Hot!

These 2 days i was so bz unpacking my stuff and also registering subjects for my new semester that will starts next week. On Thursday, I will be going to Langkawi with my family (including my mon & dad) for holiday. I will be back on the general election day.
